American artist Claire Siepser obtained her MFA in book arts and MA in printmaking from the University of Alabama after her BA in French Literature from Reed College. She resides in Oakland, California. In addition to founding and directing an artist collective for two years, she has exhibited internationally, and collected numerable Special Collections including The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Yale, Duke, and the Kinsey Institute. Her work primarily explores play, interactivity, accessibility, healing, activism, and alternative ways to approach books. (see statement). She doesn’t like to use fancy art words and often she imagines dinosaurs and unicorns falling in love.
